You may also utilize the form. You do not have to give your name or explain why you are making a request. You are not required to submit a form or your request for public records in writing; however, if you do choose to make a public records request, it is helpful if at least one method of contact is provided. Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing. In order to help us provide you the best response to your request, please carefully consider the information that will be useful to you. Very broad requests can take longer to fulfill and may become costly for the requester. However, the State Attorney’s Office is committed to providing records as quickly and efficiently as possible. Florida's Public Records Law, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, requires that our office permit inspection and examination of public records maintained by this office at “…any reasonable time, under reasonable conditions, and under supervision...” Consistent with our responsibilities as a public office, it is the policy of this office to fully comply with our statutory obligations.
